"Our son’s expressive speech
has improved immensely, and as I have read in the past, has happened to our son,
is that he is laughing so much more."
"With daughter,
we saw over the 6 week stage a huge leap, she was not so agitated and
frustrated."
Both our
children had AIT, and we
have seen the biggest changes in our son, our daughter I believe who suffers so
much from auditory processing and has all her life will need to have another
session next summer as her strapedius muscle is much weaker than her brother’s.
We marked the 6
week, 3 month, 6 month dates on our calendar to see what we would see. We have
seen a nice change in our son, he is more compliant, cooperative, he seems to be
processing sounds closer to him and filtering out the sounds away from him (
before he was paying way too much attention to what he was hearing in the school
hallways and not enough attention to his class). Our son’s expressive speech
has improved immensely, and as I have read in the past, has happened to our son,
is that he is laughing so much more. What I can advise you as what some people
have written as a sign of regression to me was a sign of “growth”. Just before
the 6 week date and the three month date ( we have not hit the 6 month mark yet)
was a sense of “irritability” in our son but being I knew the date was coming, I
knew exactly what was happening. Our son was having to learn how to handle his
new environment in a new way. To date we are extremely pleased with what we
have seen with AIT for
our son.
With daughter,
we saw over the 6 week stage a huge leap, she was not so agitated and
frustrated. Then she started Kindergarten and left all her Montessori friends
behind, due to her high I.Q. we put her into French immersion so she is having
to really pay attention to sounds to learn a new language. We have had a huge
stress in our family for over a month and this too heightened her
‘sensitivities”. We have been working through the Feingold diet with our
children and we are also doing NAET what we have found out is our daughter is
supersensitive to cleaning solutions that they are using in the schools and she
will need to have a treatment for more things in the school , such as molds,
dust, pollens. Because our daughter is hyper-sensitive it and we had her start
a new environment just at the 6 week stage, I find it hard for me to fairly
asses her AIT as there
are so many other fires we are putting out for her at this time. It is to my
belief that next summer with so much work clearing her system that
AIT will show to be even
more beneficial.
